Joe Swash was inspired by his fiancee Stacey Solomon’s son Leighton getting his ear pierced during a trip to a shopping centre on Thursday, but when he took the plunge his fear caused hilarious scenes.

Following a relaxed morning preparing for a day of shopping, Loose Women star Stacey, 31, carted Joe, 39, and the kids out for a trip to IKEA, stopping off at Lakeside shopping centre on the way.The couple had agreed to let Leighton, eight, have his ear pierced after he’d been begging “for ages”.

But while there, presenter Joe wanted in on the action and decided to get his lobe pierced too. In hilarious scenes, while Leighton grinned to his mum and accepted the Claire’s Accessories shop assistant’s procedure with minimal fuss, Joe couldn’t.
