Joe Biden is doing some damage control after his words condemning the hateful rhetoric about Puerto Rico at Donald Trump‘s Madison Square Garden rally were misinterpreted.
The President of the United States took to social media to clarify he didn’t call Trump supporters “garbage,” as many have interpreted. “Earlier today I referred to the hateful rhetoric about Puerto Rico spewed by Trump’s supporter at his Madison Square Garden rally as garbage—which is the only word I can think of to describe it,” Biden said in a post on X, the microblogging platform formerly known as Twitter.
He continued, “His demonization of Latinos is unconscionable. That’s all I meant to say.
