Rutherglen is set for a massive job boost in a new Specsavers call centre following a £60,000 investment. A group of locally-owned opticians and audiology clinics in Glasgow and South Lanarkshire have announced plans to invest £60,000 in a new call centre and triage hub in Rutherglen.

Specsavers plans to open the facility later this year in response to growing demand for eye and hearing care appointments, creating four new jobs in the process.
