Joao Cancelo wants to stay at Barcelona past this season - and has effectively ruled out playing anywhere else. The Portuguese full-back was jettisoned from Manchester City in January 2023 after reacting badly to falling out of favour under Pep Guardiola.
He spent the rest of the campaign at Bayern Munich, winning the Bundesliga, and was then loaned out to Barcelona for the current campaign.
Under contract at City until 2027, Barcelona have no option to buy Cancelo in the summer like Bayern had but opted against triggering.
Cancelo has played 31 times for Barcelona this season, operating at both right-back and left-back, with three goals and four assists to his name.
