Jim Goodwin wants to add one or two in the January window but doesn’t want to lose any of his current Aberdeen squad.Right-sided defensive options are the priority for Aberdeen this month with Tranmere’s full-back Josh Dacres-Cogley and Burnley’s defender Kevin Long among the targets they are considering.
The Dons manager knows if he can keep what he has and then sign one or two others then the Pittodrie side will also come out the other side stronger.Dacres-Cogley is more likely to be on a pre-contract, if a deal can be agreed.
Goodwin knows their rivals Hearts have already started to strengthen and the likes of Hibs are also likely to add. He said: “We have been working hard over the last couple of months in the build up to the window.
I have always said in every window you go into you need to come out the other side stronger and in a better position.“Clubs around us will strengthen no doubt.
