Jim Goodwin says Anthony Stewart's red card was a disappointing moment as his Aberdeen side lost to Rangers 2-1 in the Viaplay Cup semi-final.Bojan Miovski had fired the Dons into a half-time lead before Ryan Jack levelled things up.
It was heading towards extra-time when the Pittodrie skipper clattered into Fashion Sakala and Nick Walsh was quick to brandish a red card.
It's the defender's second sending off this season after being sent for an early bath in a Premiership defeat to St Mirren earlier in the campaign.It was a bitter blow for Goodwin, who was proud of what his Aberdeen players put into the game.
He told Viaplay: "The aim is to progress into the final and unfortunately we were unable to do that. But I thought it was a really good game, evenly balanced at times.
