Jet2 issues Spain travel warning due to strike action

Jet2 has issued a warning to passengers travelling to Spain today (Monday, February 27) that their flights could be “delayed” due to strike action.

Air traffic control workers are walking out at several Spanish airports, including Alicante, Fuerteventura and Lanzarote. The airline advises travellers to arrive at least two hours before their departure time.

Passengers are urged to stay updated with the latest information on the airline’s website and on departure screens. In a statement on their website Jet2 said: “We wanted to let you know that industrial strike action is taking place Monday 27th February, supported by the Air Traffic Service in Spain.
