Jet2 flight diverted to Edinburgh Airport in Boxing Day drama

A Jet2 flight was diverted to Edinburgh after an on board incident on Boxing Day. The LS932, which left Malta and was due to arrive at Manchester Airport around 5.20pm on December 26, was forced to land in the capital instead.

According to Flight Radar, the aircraft landed at 6pm.The exact reason for the diversion is not yet known.It comes after an Edinburgh Jet2 flight to Dalaman was diverted over 3,000km away to Cologne due to an incident onboard on October 9.

It is understood a passenger onboard became disruptive and had to be offloaded in Germany before the flight could continue to Turkey later that evening - arriving three hours later than planned.The Record has approached Jet2 for comment.
