Click inside to find out how Jessica Chastain prepared to play Tammy Wynette… Jessica told Vanity Fair that she made a dramatic change to her diet in order to look more like Tammy, who suffered from health issues later in life. “I don’t really like to look at scales, but I stopped eating,” she said. “I was drinking juices and I kept doing it until I looked sick.” She also commented on the late icon’s relationship with her husband. “It was fascinating to me that someone like Tammy Wynette, who sang all these songs like ‘Stand by Your Man,’ also was married five times,” she explained. “I was excited about this woman who was married and divorced multiple times and struggling in Nashville and really made a name for herself on her own.
She charted multiple times before she met George Jones.” Jessica shared some of the first photos from the project on Twitter.Read more on justjared.com
