Former Manchester United footballer Jesse Lingard was all smiles as he launched his latest restaurant venture in Wilmslow. Caribbean restaurant Jerk Junction has become a much-loved institution in Manchester, and is now spreading its wings to Cheshire too.
The footballer, who is currently without a club after leaving Nottingham Forest in the summer, co-owns Jerk Junction with friend and business partner Jake Shaffi.
It is regularly hailed the "best Caribbean food in the north west" with diners travelling from across the region for its authentic dishes like jerk chicken with aromatic rice and peas and curry goat.
Jesse and Jake welcomed the first guests into the Water Lane restaurant in Wilmslow on Wednesday night, before opening fully to the public on Thursday. Try MEN Premium now for FREE...
