Jesse Eisenberg doesn’t understand “the appeal of social media”, insisting he has “no desire” to engage with his fans. The actor, who starred as Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg in 2010 movie The Social Network, shared in an interview with NME.com that he has a very strong view on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram – and won’t be signing up for accounts on them anytime soon. “I don’t engage with the public and they don’t engage with me, which is perfect,” he said. “I don’t understand the appeal of (social media) with strangers who seem to delight in criticising you.
I have no desire to get approval from them and I have no interest in fighting with them. I’m not on it and I’ll never be on it.
