Jerry Stiller has died aged 92 of "natural causes". The US actor and comedian is best remembered for his iconic role on the TV show Seinfeld, playing George Costanzas' father Frank, and on The King of Queens.
His actor son, Ben Stiller, broke the news of his father's death in a heartfelt statement posted over social media today. He announced: "I'm sad to say that my father, Jerry Stiller, passed away from natural causes. "He was a great dad and grandfather, and the most dedicated husband to Anne for about 62 years.
He will be greatly missed. Love you Dad." Born in Brooklyn, Stiller launched his acting career after returning from service in the US army during World War II.
