Jermaine Jenas' message to two women he cheated with as sacked BBC star 'ashamed'

Jermaine Jenas has released a statement which includes a message for the two women he cheated with. The footballer-turned-TV star said he is "ashamed" of his behaviour after being sacked by the BBC but insists he did nothing illegal.Jenas, who is married and co-presented Match of the Day and The One Show, was stripped of his roles by the Beeb on Thursday over claims that he sexted two female colleagues.

Jenas says he knows one of the women involved through work and she gave him her mobile number at a boozy work event.He said they frantically” sexted over 24 hours but he claims it ended on good terms.

Admitting his guilt and shame over what happened, the 41-year-old former footballer spoke out about the situation.He said: has said: "I am ashamed, and I am deeply sorry.

I have let myself down, my family, friends and colleagues down.”Revealing what he would say to the women he was texting, Jermaine said: "I owe everyone an apology, especially the women with whom I was messaging.
