Jermaine Jenas could return to TV next month with potential career lifeline

Jermaine Jenas may continue in his role with TNT Sports and could return to television after the upcoming international break, it has emerged.

The former One Show presenter and Match of The Day pundit, 41, was sacked by the BBC last week for sending inappropriate text messages to two female colleagues.Jenas has since apologised for his actions, but a new report claims TNT execs are set to hold further talks over his future during the upcoming international break, and will be looking to gather further information on his BBC departure, reports the Mirror.

Should they be satisfied, there is remains a chance Jenas could return to commentary duty next month, according to The Telegraph.TNT's first live Premier League match after the break will be Manchester United's trip to Southampton on September 14 in a Saturday 12.30pm kickoff.

A more likely return to TV screens could be in the following midweek, when the Champions League returns.The sport broadcaster have greater dominion over the matches, and will have more scope for Jenas to make a low-key return either on commentary duty or as a pundit.
