Jeremy Kyle has sparked backlash after joking that Prince Harry should throw Meghan Markle "down a well" during a debate about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
During his regular TalkTV slot, Jeremy was joined by royal commentators Kinsey Schofield and Emily Andrews, with whom he discussed the controversial royals.
Kinsey began: "People are done with the whinge-fest, they are done with the crying.The way these people use victimhood as currency, I think culturally we are tired of it. "It's going to end soon, so they better get out of it what they can as the American people are really getting tired of their complaining and crying." Talk quickly turned to Prince Harry's claim that he sees his book "like an act of service" to which Emily said: "If you really want to perform a service for charity, go to Lesotho, it is safe there. "Go and build wells, build a school and go and teach English..." In response to this, Jeremy quipped: "Throw [Meghan] down one." Viewers quickly took to social media to share their thoughts on the comment, with many suggesting that the broadcaster may have taken it to far with his joke.
One wrote: "Advocating violence against a woman is NEVER a joke. #ToxicBritishMedia must stop!" and another added: "Another lovely man our country can be proud of.
