A guest on the Jeremy Kyle Show, who is thought to have taken his own life seven days after filming, had previously been sectioned over his mental health and had taken four drug overdoses, an inquest has heard.
Steve Dymond from Portsmouth appeared on the ITV show in May 2019 where he failed a lie detector test after being accused of cheating on his ex-fiancee Jane Callaghan, from Gosport.
The inquest at Winchester Coroner’s Court, which is due to run until September 10, heard that he died at his home in Portsmouth of a combination of morphine overdose and left ventricular hypertrophy in his heart. READ MORE: Man, 33, dies after 'speeding car on wrong side of road' crashed into him in hit-and-run Dr Amjad Rehman, a GP at the Rowner Health Centre in Gosport, Hampshire, told the inquest today (September 4) that he saw Mr Dymond on March 14, 2019.
He said that Mr Dymond had suicidal thoughts and he then made a “very urgent” referral to the acute mental health crisis team.
