Jeremy Edwards has announced he's quit Hollyoaks, admitting that the heavy trolling he received while on the show played a part in the decision.
The soap star, 49, returned to the Channel 4 soap last year as part of its 25th anniversary episode, over 20 years after his character Kurt Benson was killed off.
His friend Tony believed he'd seen a ghost after Kurt was killed off-screen in a jet ski accident in 1999. And while soaps are known for bringing characters back from the dead, for many viewers the storyline was too unbelievable and saw Jeremy receive cruel trolling as a result.
