Manchester City maverick Jeremy Doku has been tipped to develop into one of the world’s best footballers. That is according to Belgian legend Paul Van Himst, who won eight league titles at Anderlecht before managing the club in the 1980s.
Regarded as the biggest club in the country, Anderlecht is also where Doku plied his trade before joining Rennes three years ago.
Doku is already turning heads at City following his big-money move in the summer. Few knew much about the 21-year-old when Etihad chiefs forked out £55million and, given the talent at Pep Guardiola’s disposal, many questioned where the winger would fit in.
