Jeremy Clarkson has revealed he was verbally abused by an angry shopper after he forgot to wear a face mask when he went out to pick up groceries.
The Grand Tour host, 60, who lives in the Cotswolds, opened up about his encounter with an angry punter when he popped out to pick up some essentials last weekend.
Clarkson admitted he had forgotten to wear a face mask in line with government guidance and got a severe telling off. In his column for The Times, he wrote: "Britain is becoming very bitter for some reason. "Last weekend I went to the paper shop and remembered most of the things I now need for such a trip: spectacles, phone, hearing aid, tin of boiled sweets, gazetteer and a list of the papers I like to buy when I arrive.
