Unai Emery was “not good enough” for the Arsenal job because he struggled to communicate his ideas in English, according to former Gunners goalkeeper Jens Lehmann.
Emery was sacked by Arsenal back in November after a miserable start to the season, having missed out on Champions League qualification in his debut campaign.
A torrid run of seven games without a win meant the Spaniard was handed his P45 in north London, with Mikel Arteta replacing him in the hot-seat.
And Lehman, who was let go by Emery after becoming a member of Arsene Wenger ’s coaching team in his final season at the Emirates, believes he made a mistake by hiring backroom staff who couldn’t speak English.
