Jennifer Love Hewitt explained why she hasn’t signed on to star in the I Know What You Did Last Summer reboot movie just yet.

The 45-year-old actress brought Julie James to life in the 1997 horror movie and reprised the role in a sequel the following year.

While other actors from the original franchise have confirmed their involvement in the new movie, Jennifer is still in talks to join the cast.

She explained why in a recent interview. Keep reading to find out more… Speaking with Variety, Jennifer said that “it is truly such an honor, at 45, to even be invited back” for the new movie. “To be thought of in that way, to not just move on to the newer, better, younger versions, but [to be offered] to come back and play that part is really cool.
