The two star in the feature, based on true story of Anthony Robles, and his book “Unstoppable: From Underdog to Undefeated: How I Became a Champion.” Keep reading to find out more… Here’s a synopsis: Anthony Robles, despite being born without a right leg, rises to become a NCAA Division 1 Champion wrestler ultimately winning a national championship against the school that rejected him, national powerhouse Iowa.
Also starring are Bobby Cannavale, Michael Peña and Don Cheadle. Anthony Robles himself is also featured in the movie as his own double, performing the complex wrestling moves and stunts. Jharrel also trained for months and worked very closely with Anthony to establish the physicality and determination required for the role.
Oscar-winning Argo editor William Goldenberg makes his directorial debut, with Argo star Ben Affleck serving as a producer.
