Alexander Emmanuel Rodriguez (born July 27, 1975), nicknamed "A-Rod", is an American former professional baseball shortstop and third baseman who played 22 seasons in Major League Baseball (MLB).
He played seven seasons with Seattle Mariners, three seasons with the Texas Rangers and twelve seasons with the New York Yankees. Rodriguez began his professional career as one of the sport's most highly touted prospects, and is considered to be one of the greatest baseball players of all time.
Jennifer Lopez made no mention of her split from Alex Rodriguez as she posted on Instagram on Friday. Instead the mother-of-two reunited for a FaceTime call to comfort their crying 13-year-old twins Max and Emme, who were with her former husband Marc Anthony.
She wrote: "When you are sad but momma and daddy are there." While JLo did not mention the reason for the upset, the twins had embraced sports star A-Rod and treated his two daughters as their sisters.

The sad news comes two years after Alex popped the question to the Jenny From The Block hitmaker in a romantic beach proposal.
