Jennifer Aniston was widely rumoured as the hot contender to become godmother to Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom’s baby, but the pop star has splashed cold water on the idea. Katy, 35, is currently expecting her first child with fiance Orlando, 43, and is nearing the end of her pregnancy.In recent weeks, rumours have mounted that Friends actress Jennifer was in the running to be chosen as the baby girl’s godparent due to her friendship with the couple.However, Katy admits she has no idea where the speculation has come from.

Speaking to KIIS FM radio hosts Kyle and Jackie O, the Fireworks singer explained: ‘She texted us, because we are friendly with her, and [my fiancé] Orlando [Bloom] is one of her good friends.
