Jeff Brazier has admitted that the timing of filming Celebrity Race Across the World was 'cruel' for himself and his son Freddie after they were heard opening up about the death of Jade Goody.

TV star Jeff told how he was just nine years old when his dad, Stephen Faldo, passed away, and he believes that experience helped him and his sons - Bobby, 21, and Freddie, 19 - to cope with Big Brother star Jade's death in 2009, aged 27, following a cervical cancer diagnosis.

Also during the latest episode of the BBC show on Wednesday night (August 28), Freddie opened up about the loss of his mother and admitted that he wasn't good at dealing with his emotions without wanting to 'burden' his dad. Freddie replied: "To watch the sunset, I think that sounds really nice," leaving his father to agree: "If that will make you feel like you have done something special for her." Opening up about his grief, Freddie explained: "My mum was Jade Goody, I guess some people know her as the Big Brother star.

I lost my mum when I was four due to cervical cancer and that was on Mother's Day which is really hard. "I don't really like showing my emotions, I don't even really speak to my dad much about my mum either, I just avoid it.
