When we catch up with Jean Johansson, it's one of the rare times she's in the UK relaxing at her stunning home in Ayrshire with a few minutes all to herself.

Jean, 41, has just taken on another year presenting A Place in the Sun and has also signed up for Channel 4's new property show, A Key to a Fortune.

She's also the current competitions host on This Morning. So it's no surprise when she tells us that "life can be crazy" and that she is "away for around 25 weeks of the year." But while life on the road can be full of excitement and adventure, one thing she admits to sometimes missing out on is the simple pleasures of family life - especially when it comes to son Junior's sporting endeavour and school activities. "“I miss out on a lot at home, including Junior’s football games or school concerts,” she says. “It’s frustrating, but that’s a juggle for any working mum." One thing's for sure though, Jean has an amazing support system around her and they often step in to help whenever they can. “When it comes to childcare, we use both sets of grandmas, our friends and sisters.

We have a really good network that helps us out, and during the school holidays Junior travels with me. "It’s important for my husband and I to show Junior what you can achieve with a hard work ethic.” And speaking of her work ethic, as well as hosting the hit Channel 4 property show, the star has popped up on Celebrity MasterChef and won the coveted Celebrity Mastermind trophy in 2022.
