Beyonce usually occupies the seat beside Jay Z at basketball games but Blue Ivy took her spot this weekend. Jay Z, 50, attended the NBA game between the LA Lakers and LA Clippers on Sunday (8 March) and was joined by his eldest daughter.

It appeared to be a daddy-daughter date as Beyonce and her youngest children, two-year-old twins Rumi and Sir, were nowhere to be seen.

And Blue Ivy, eight, seemed to thoroughly enjoy her time sitting courtside at the Staples Center, and was fairly attentive towards the big game despite her young age.

At one point, Jay Z leaned in to Blue as she discussed the game and put a protective arm around his daughter’s chair. Watching the basketball players running up and down the court made Blue a little
