Jax Taylor has finally spoken out about his divorce from Brittany Cartwright. Months after announcing their separation, Brittany decided to pull the trigger to end their marriage.

The 35-year-old reality star filed for divorce in late August, citing irreconcilable differences. Of course, we know the couple had tons of problems in the relationship over the years, such as cheating, lying, fighting, and more.

So yeah, their breakup was a long time coming. When Brittany broke her silence about the filing on their When Reality Hits podcast last week, she even pointed out that the decision “wasn’t made lightly or quickly.” However, she ultimately realized she needed to leave a “toxic relationship” for the sake of their 3-year-old son Cruz.

It’s hard to leave someone you were with for nearly a decade, even tougher when you have a child. So we applaud her for recognizing she deserved better and having the courage to end things.
