Jason Sudeikis confirms ‘Ted Lasso’ season four

Ted Lasso has been confirmed by producer and star Jason Sudeikis, who also revealed what the storyline will be.Since its debut in 2020, the Apple TV+ show about an American coach taking over a British football team has won an army of fans, as well as two Golden Globes and 11 Primetime Emmys.

There had been speculation that the third season may have been the last, but the star has confirmed he will be returning.Appearing on the New Heights podcast, hosted by Jason and Travis Kelce, he confirmed he was in the process of writing the fourth season. “That’s the official word,” he said, before adding “Ted’s coaching a women’s team, so there, that’s it”.The news was followed by an official press release which read: “Apple TV+ today announced that the global phenomenon Ted Lasso is officially returning back to the football pitch for a fourth season that will reunite the team behind the history-making and multi-Emmy-winning comedy series, with Jason Sudeikis reprising his award-winning role as the celebrated Coach Ted Lasso”.The star was quoted in the release, saying: “As we all continue to live in a world where so many factors have conditioned us to ‘look before we leap’…In season four, the folks at AFC Richmond learn to LEAP BEFORE THEY LOOK, discovering that wherever they land, it’s exactly where they’re meant to be”.The character of Ted Lasso also returned to X (formerly Twitter), with his first post since October 2023. “Finally found the dang password to this thing” he wrote. “Sorry y’all.
