ITV Starstruck judge Jason Manford has taken to social media to thank his fans for the messages of support he and his family received after he posted the "heartbreaking" news that his grandmother, who he calls Nana Manford, was rushed to hospital at the age of 99.
Now, he has updated his followers with the news that she is doing well and has "made it back home". In the emotional post on March 19, Jason detailed how his Nana Manford had not been eating as she remained in hospital and wrote: "It’s heartbreaking if I’m honest, especially to see my dad upset.
But we’re staying strong as a family, lots of laughs and spent more time than was necessary rubbing hand cream into those 99-year-old hands. "But now fans will be pleased to hear that Nana Manford, who last week managed to drink a McDonald's milkshake - "the only thing Nana Manford has consumed for a week" - is much better as Jason gave a heartwarming health update.
