Jason Aldean's Controversial Video Has Been Edited, But His Team Says It Wasn't Because of Backlash

Jason Aldean‘s music video for his controversial song “Try That in a Small Town” has been edited to be six seconds shorter, but his team claims it has nothing to do with the backlash against the video.

The 46-year-old country singer has been accused of releasing a “pro-lynching song” and he’s received backlash for using new coverage of Black Lives Matter protesters.

A portion of the video was filmed in front of a Tennessee courthouse where a Black teen was lynched in the 1920s. CMT has removed the video from its playlist and conservative media have rallied behind the video.
