EXCLUSIVE: CBS Studios has extended its first-look deal with Jared Padalecki for him to develop and produce new series projects across linear and streaming.
He is currently set for a three-episode arc on the studio’s CBS drama series Fire Country with an idea to explore a potential spinoff built around his character.
Padalecki first entered a first-look pact with CBS Studios in 2022 when the former Supernatural star was executive producing two CW series for the studio, Walker, which he also headlined, and prequel Walker: Independence.
Both dramas were caught up in the ownership change at the CW, with the mothership making it to this year when it was canceled for financial reasons despite being the network’s most watched series.
