Janey Godley has urged her followers to look out for the four signs of ovarian cancer as her own battle continues. In December 2021, the Scots comedian found out she had the disease after experiencing key symptoms including bloating and frequent urination.
A month later she underwent a hysterectomy but was told she would need further treatment as her cancer had progressed to stage 3b.
She was then given the all clear, however, scans in recent months have shown that the cancer has returned meaning the 62-year-old will need to undergo further chemotherapy.Today on Twitter, Janey shared a throwback snap and urged others to look out for signs of the ovarian cancer, which affects the ovaries.She penned: "I miss my hair, I miss my ovaries and womb and I missed the symptoms of ovarian cancer don’t let that happen to you 1.
Bloating and swollen tummy 2. Feeling full before you eat 3. Peeing too much 4. Sore abdomen."She then went on to share a poster of early stage symptoms and advanced symptoms.And many of her followers praised her for raising awareness.
