Janey Godley says she think it will be 'cracking' if she drops dead on stage.The comedian is about to embark on a standup tour while undergoing chemotherapy to treat her ovarian cancer.The 61-year-old says that there is a risk the treatment leads her to vomit during a performance, but she says there's also a chance she dies during her routine, which she believes is 'the way to do it'.Talking about the upcoming 'Not Dead Yet' tour, she told the Loose Ends podcast: "I am not dead yet.
I have ovarian stage 3 cancer and I'm getting some more treatment."So by the time the tour goes I'll have been through some more chemotherapy."But I'm not a woman who dies on my knees, I'll die standing on my feet.
So I'm ready to go on tour and if I happen to be on stage and just peg it right there I think that'll be cracking."It will be great.
It's the way to do it."Godley said she would be getting treatment for her cancer between gigs."What (comedians) need is that extra edge," she joked. "That extra edge is (a) will I die? (b) am I going to vomit with the chemo?
