At the start of the year, Janey underwent a hysterectomy but even after the surgery she was told she would need to undergo further treatment as her cancer had progressed to stage 3b.This means there are cancer growths 2cm or smaller in size on the lining of the abdomen and there may also be cancer in the lymph nodes.
Janey is currently undergoing her fourth round of chemotherapy but has now urged others to look out for symptoms and seek medical attention.The 61-year-old took to Instagram as she teamed up with the Beatson, where she attends for treatment.
Donning her yellow Beatson top, Janey said: "Hi my name is Janey Godley and I have ovarian cancer and it's a very sneaky cancer so I just want to highlight some of the symptoms."Feeling really bloated like I was.
