The official Instagram page for the Loose Women star, 58, confirmed the sad news on Wednesday shortly after his funeral. Eddie "Ed" Rothe, the former drummer for The Searchers, and Jane had been together since 2008, but their love story actually began decades earlier, The Mirror reports.

The pair met as teenagers and struck up a brief romance before reuniting years later by chance.Jane and Ed first met in 1980 when she worked at a furniture store in Wakefield, West Yorks and worked in a pub on the side.It was in this pub the couple first met when Ed's pop band Liquid Gold played a gig there.
