Jane Campion made film history on Tuesday February 8, when she became the first female director to be nominated twice for Academy Awards.
The 67-year-old auteur received the nod for “Best Achievement in Directing” for the 94th Academy Awards for her Western drama The Power of The Dog, which stars Benedict Cumberbatch, Kirsten Dunst, and Jesse Plemons.
The critically-acclaimed movie led the 2022 Oscars with a whopping total of 12 nominees, including the coveted ‘Best Picture’ nomination.
