James Tavernier 'agrees' Rangers contract extension as right-back set to commit future to Ibrox

The captain has been a key player under both Steven Gerrard and Gio van Bronckhorst and was one of the key performers in last season's glory run to the Europa League final.
He scored in every home knockout game on the way to Seville and finished as the competition's top scorer, while notching 18 goals and 17 assists in all competitions from right-back.
Ryan Kent and Alfredo Morelos are the pressing contract issues at Ibrox but Tavernier's situation was also causing some anxiety, given his current deal is due to expire in 2024.
But transfer guru Fabrizio Romano reports he has signed off on a fresh four-year contract that will keep him tied to the club until 2026.
