James Martin insists he has 'no interest' in marriage or kids despite 11-year relationship
express.co.ukJames Martin, 50, opened up about not having “any interest” in getting married or having children in a resurfaced interview.The Saturday Morning chef admitted he couldn’t picture a wedding in his future despite dating his long-term partner for more than a decade.
James generally likes to keep his personal life out of the spotlight, but back in 2019 he admitted has no plans to propose or start a family.Asked about any future vows, the chef told Sunday People at the time: "No, it doesn't interest me in the slightest, mainly because I've catered for so many weddings, really. “I admire people who do it, that's fine, but I'm quite happy,” he continued. “I don't need to spend 60 grand on a day, no, I'm more than happy thanks."READ MORE: The James Martin’s Great British Adventure presenter explained he prefers to splash his money on some expensive hobbies and interests instead.
This includes his impressive car collection, which boasts a Chevrolet Corvette, a Lotus 340R, a 1948 Maserati and two retired Formula One motors."My mates come round to my house and they look into my garage and I go, 'These are my babies, these are my things,'” he explained. “But you know, it's each to their own, isn't it?" James reflected.James met Louise back in 2011 and has maintained a private relationship with her ever since, barely mentioning her in public.
The pair met on the set of Celebrity Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? but ironically appear to have no interest in appearing on TV together.
