Star chef James Martin halted his ITV cooking show Saturday Morning today (February 15) to congratulate his co-star on her marriage.
As James introduced long-term guest star Alysia Greenwood to this morning's broadcast, he paused to announce the news, LancsLive reported. "We are about to be taught some exciting facts about free food from the top Yorkshire forager, Alysia Greenwood," James began.
However, before the cooking segment could begin, James paused and said: "I am not going to get the hang of this. I have been calling you Alysia Vasey for years now." "Congratulations," he continued. "Married...ring?" Alysia replied, "Married, better foraging name, Greenwood." "Is that the reason why?" James joked as his guest answered: "Sole reason." James laughed as he went on: "Basically, first of all, congratulations, and you have not stopped while you have been doing that because you have something quite interesting with us that you want to use." As the camera panned to the ingredient, Alysia said she had been in a swamp foraging for the tangerine root in her wellies.
James and Alysia went on to cook using the root, and while Alysia encouraged James to try it before cooking it, the TV chef questioned whether it was "poisonous". "So, once you have boiled it, this is what you end up with.
