James Gunn shares a new statement about 'disrespectful outcry' from fans over new DC Studios moves

Just over a month and a half after taking over DC Studios, James Gunn is already feeling the wrath from fans after cancelling Wonder Woman 3 and revealing Henry Cavill is not returning as Superman.

The 56-year-old filmmaker and new head of DC Studios with Peter Safran took to both Twitter and Instagram on Monday to release a new statement about the 'disrespectful outcry' from fans.While Gunn has yet to unveil DC's new slate and reveal the fates of other films set for 2023, he did insist that his vision will not be affecting by the backlash from a vocal group of fans who still insist on having Zack Snyder return to 'restore the Snyderverse' despite Snyder himself saying he's done with the superhero franchise.

Wrath: Just over a month and a half after taking over DC Studios, James Gunn is already feeling the wrath from fans after cancelling Wonder Woman 3 and revealing Henry Cavill is not returning as Superman 'One of the things Peter & I were aware of when we took the job as heads of DC Studios was a certain minority of people online that could be, well, uproarious & unkind, to say the least,' Gunn began.'Our choices for the DCU are based upon what we believe is best for the story & best for the DC characters who have been around for nearly 85 years,' Gunn added.  'Perhaps these choices are great, perhaps not, but they are made with sincere hearts & integrity & always with the story in mind,' he insisted.
