Another possible role for Henry Cavill in the DC Universe movie franchise has been nixed by James Gunn.
The new co-chairman, who took control of the Warner Bros. Pictures franchise with Peter Safran late last year, responded to a couple of fans about the possibility that Henry would step into the role of Frankenstein. Keep reading to find out more… The casting rumor is much talked about by fans on social media, and it was rumored that Henry was approached to play the role in the upcoming Creature Commandos series.
However, James promptly killed the idea. “Completely false. We have our Frankenstein – our first choice – & it’s not Henry.
Was never discussed with him. #CreatureCommandos,” he wrote on his Twitter. After he set the record straight, James also made rumors clear about his “hate” towards Henry. James then stated that he doesn’t have any ill-will towards Henry at all. “You might consider that this bile you think comes off in my post has more to do with your framing than what I’m actually saying,” he wrote back to one fan. “I’ve said in the past we’ve discussed other roles with Henry – just Frankenstein is not one of them.” It was announced that Henry would not be returning to the role of Superman in December, just after he made a cameo appearance at the end of Black Adam.
