James Cracknell seemed to break lockdown rules when he visited his elderly parents. He enjoyed a socially distanced visit to his elderly parents to bring them food after a "long month of no contact".

The champion rower has now deleted a photo showing him sat two metres apart from his elderly dad in a back garden. They both smiled to the camera while sat in the chairs under the blazing hot sunshine.

He wrote: "Socially distant, no physical contact & was bringing them food. Been a long month of no contact, my mum worked for the NHS her whole career so she was ruthless about distance.

Thanks." It comes after James had uploaded the photograph and deleted it within the hour on his Instagram account on Sunday morning.
