The much-anticipated finale to the long-running sitcom saw huge questions answered, including whether Smithy said yes to Nessa's marriage proposal five years ago.
Posting the picture of the two writers on social media, James Corden revealed that he had watched the final episode live with Ruth Jones.
He wrote: "We had to be together to watch tonight. "We really hope you enjoy the finale of Gavin and Stacey. It has been the greatest privilege making this show over the past 17 years.
