Uncle Bryn, portrayed by Rob Brydon of Would I Lie To You? fame, has been a staple since the show's 2007 pilot. However, speaking at The Global Gift Gala charity event in London, James teased: "What we were editing today was a very moving and emotional scene at Bryn's funeral.

I'm joking, I promise. Or am I? " James, who also plays Smithy in the BBC hit, has previously confessed that the last episode, set to air on Christmas Day, will be "hard to watch".

When probed about potential funeral scenes, he coyly responded: "Maybe." His latest comments about Bryn are sure to stun the millions of fans eagerly awaiting updates on their favourite characters since the last Gavin and Stacey episode aired at Christmas in 2019.
