Thania Garcia Eminem and Snoop Dogg will be returning to the VMAs stage for a “first of its kind” performance of “From the D 2 The LBC,” inspired by “the world of the Otherside metaverse” for Sunday’s 2022 MTV Video Music Awards. In partnership with Yuga Labs, their joint appearance marks the first VMA performance by either rapper in more than a decade. Snoop’s last VMAs showcase was in 2005 alongside Diddy for a tribute dedicated to the Notorious B.I.G. Eminem opened the show in 2010, with a performance of “Not Afraid” and “Love the Way You Lie,” accompanied by Rihanna. The duo graced the VMAs stage together in 1999, along with Dr. Dre, as the ceremony closed with Eminem’s “My Name Is” and “Guilty Conscience” and Dre’s “Nuthin’ But a ‘G’ Thang.”

Roadside Attractions inked a multi-year output deal with Hulu for its post-theatrical window — known as the pay one window — sooner bringing the company’s films to the streamer. Under the terms of the deal, Hulu will receive exclusive U.S. streaming rights to upcoming Roadside Attractions films including director Phyllis Nagy’s abortion drama “Call Jane,” starring Elizabeth Banks and Sigourney Weaver; and the feel-good “Gigi & Nate,” featuring Charlie Rowe, Marcia Gay Harden and Jim Belushi.

The Eggers brothers, whose older sibling Robert Eggers has collaborated with A24 on “The Witch” and “The Lighthouse,” will be directing in their feature filmmaking debut. They adapted the screenplay from Susan Hill’s short story of the same name. “The Front Room” follows a young, newly pregnant couple forced to take in an ailing stepmother who has long been estranged from the family.  Along with Norwood, the ’90s music icon who is also of “I Know What You Did Last Summer,” “Moesha” and Rodgers and Hammerstein’s “Cinderella” fame, is co-starring alongside Kathryn Hunter (“The Tragedy of Macbeth”), Andrew Burnap (“WeCrashed,” Broadway’s “The Inheritance”) and Neal Huff (“Spotlight”).
