James Argent's lost 5.5 stone after gastric surgery and finally able to eat solid food

James 'Arg' Argent has shared that he has shed an impressive 5 and a half stone following his gastric surgery. The former TOWIE star, 33, decided to have the procedure after reaching 27 stone on the scales and being told by doctors that he could die if he did not slim down.

And on Monday, James updated his fans on his progress and told that he is finally able to munch on solid food after weeks of being restricted to a liquid diet.

Taking to Instagram, Arg wrote: "Back on solid foods I'm Delighted with the results, 5 1/2 Stone weight loss so far! "Thanks to the team @wearetransform who have been guiding me on the how to integrate solids back into my diet. "I’m aiming to stick to nutritionally packed foods as part of a well balanced diet to
