John Michael "Ozzy" Osbourne (born 3 December 1948) is an English singer, songwriter, actor and television personality. He rose to prominence during the 1970s as the lead vocalist of the heavy metal band Black Sabbath, during which he adopted the nickname "The Prince of Darkness".
Osbourne was fired from the band in 1979 due to alcohol and drug problems, but he went on to have a successful solo career, releasing eleven studio albums, the first seven of which were all awarded multi-platinum certifications in the United States. Osbourne has since reunited with Black Sabbath on several occasions.
Jem Aswad Executive Editor, Music Former Ozzy Osbourne guitarist Jake E. Lee was shot multiple times in Las Vegas early Tuesday morning but is expected to make a fully recovery, according to his rep.
Lee, who is also known for his work with the bands Badlands and his current outfit Red Dragon Cartel, is said to be fully conscious and doing well in an intensive care unit at a Las Vegas hospital, the rep said.
Las Vegas law authorities say they believe believe the shooting was completely random and occurred while Lee took his dog out for a walk.
The investigation is ongoing and the rep added that no further comment will be forthcoming. “Lee and his family appreciate respecting their privacy at this time,” they added.
