It was announced on Thursday morning that United have triggered the one-year extension in Ten Hag's contract that will see him continue as manager of the club for a further two years.
One member of the United squad who that decision will impact massively is winger Sancho, who got loaned back to Borussia Dortmund in January after a very public conflict with the Dutchman. Ten Hag has also made his stance clear on £73m signing Sancho as of late as he noted that United were happy that the player was performing well at his former club, as this would increase his valuation in the summer.
