The Red Devils hope to have the deal sown up this week, with the club's executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward and transfer negotiator Matt Judge locked in talks with Dortmund.
United are looking to pay the transfer fee for Sancho in installments, which could tally up to as much as £105m if all bonuses are triggered.
As things stand, the Red Devils will pay just north of £60m up front, with £45m set to be paid out in stages in 2021 and 2022.
